Signs of a Mature Athlete

 

1.      You don’t stack your workouts. You don’t double up on days to make up for the ones you missed. You let the workout go and move on to the next day.


2.      You take rest days! Rest days are training days! These are when adaptations happen. We need rest in order to grow!


3.      You don’t race your workouts. Not every workout needs to be a fitness test. You stay in your correct training zones, and you trust the training and you trust the process.


4.      You understand that workouts are not all or nothing. If you are tight on time, you do what you can!


5.      Every race doesn’t have to be a PR. We race for many reasons and some of those don’t have anything to do with the time on the clock 😊

 

It takes time to mature as an athlete. It takes trial and a lot of error. But that’s what makes us better athletes and better people! Happy Training and remember to have fun in the process 😊
